Veldegem

Veldegem is a textbook example of a string development village. A long row of buildings along a regional road, behind them large agricultural areas. Here and there, residential expansion areas cut into the open space. We are building again: a new service center and senior housing. On the scale of the project site, the leap from this ribbon to hinterland is remarkable and very tangible: this lot has a busy traffic junction at the road on one side and the context rapidly changes to a ditch with pollard willows on the other end.
